Camping Ministry Sunday

February 1, 2026

image

Our camping ministry began in 1958 with Teenage Conference and has now blossomed into multiple programs and owning our beautiful All Saints Camp in Emlenton, PA.  Why camp ministry? The programs and facilities provide a retreat from the world where participants of all ages learn about and strengthen their faith. The faithful of our diocese have had opportunities to come closer to Christ as campers, staff, guests and friends of the programs. Supporting this vital ministry is an investment in the life of the Church as a whole. The lessons learned and relationships built at camp continue their impact throughout our parishes and greater community

His Eminence Archbishop Daniel says about the camping ministry, “At the heart of this ministry is the teaching of the Word of God, guiding our young people to live according to the precepts of the Gospel. But the beauty of camping ministry extends beyond spiritual instruction. It provides a vibrant, holistic experience of God’s creation through a wide array of exciting and fun-filled activities - sports, arts and crafts, music, and exploration of the natural world, all within the sacred and serene environment of All Saints Camp in Emlenton, Pennsylvania.”  To read His Eminence’s introductory letter, visit https://www.uocofusa.org/news_250131_1

On February 1, we are calling our parishes to action to promote our camping ministry.  A packet of resources and information(provided in both English and Ukrainian language) have been sent to all parishes.  In addition, all resources may be downloaded for additional distribution and printing from the Office of Youth Ministry website.  Throughout the day, all social media platforms of the UOC of the USA, Office of Youth Ministry and All Saints Camp will be releasing videos about our camp ministry.

Visit the Office of Youth Ministry website at www.uocyouth.org for more information or to download resources.  You may also discover more by contacting the Office of Youth Ministry at uocyouth@aol.com or All Saints Camp at josho@allsaintscamp.org
